My Family
This is me. I am a stay-at-home mom in Alabama. Here's an example of my average day. Fun, huh? I wouldn't trade it for anything. I like reading books (for grown-ups) when I can, skinny lattes from Starbucks, homemade macaroni and cheese, maternity "jeggings," and pedicures. My favorite movie is Auntie Mame. My favorite living author is David Sedaris (I'm quite obsessed with him actually). I feel very strongly that there's no good reason to own a white bra. Unless you got it for free.
Here is my husband, Paul. He likes caffeine, as evidenced by this photo of him pouring a five-hour energy shot into a cup of black coffee. He also has an incredible sweet tooth. I like it when he cooks for me, but surprisingly he doesn't usually cook desserts. Unless it's a birthday cake for me. While you can't see the top of his head in either picture, I assure you that he has a very nice head of hair.
Joey is an incredible two-year-old. She loves ice cream, Caillou, books, dragons. Painting, playing in the yard, riding her tricycle, playing with baby dolls. Taking baths, running around naked, digging in the dirt, taking baths, avoiding naps. Curious George, Olivia, and Clifford the Big Red Dog are some of her favorite literary characters. She also loves books by Mo Willems and Dr. Seuss. She is obsessed with Disney princess movies.
This is Baby Charlotte. She joined our family on January 21, 2011. She enjoys eating and sleeping and dislikes diaper changes.
I can't describe my family without including the four-legged member, Macy. We adopted her from T-Town Paws, a local pet rescue organization, one week before Joey's first birthday. The major influence for adopting a puppy was because Joey was starting to show fear toward dogs, but the two of them instantly bonded. We're not sure of her breed, but perhaps we'll give her a DNA test one of these days. She enjoys chewing anything plastic or plush, eating Joey's leftovers, and barking. She is very tolerant to tail-pulling and we're lucky to have her as part of our family. Even though she poops in the house sometimes.
