Kids Grow

Yesterday I had some free time thanks to my mom taking Joey for the afternoon, so I took the opportunity to assemble Baby Losavio's crib.  We're using the same crib that Joey used didn't sleep in, but we had converted it to a toddler bed hoping she would find it more interesting than our bed (she didn't).  We've got 3 1/2 months before the baby's here, but I figured that it needed to be converted back to a crib before my belly gets too big for that sort of work.

Since Joey came home yesterday she has been very interested in Baby Sister's bed.  We finally let her get in on the condition that she laid down and didn't jump up and down.

Joey and Wild Thing
For reference, this is a picture of Joey when she was almost 3 weeks old.  Stretched out, she wasn't even as long as the mattress is wide.  It's not a great picture, but we don't have many photographs of Joey in her crib.  She was rarely in there.

This is Joey today.  Stretched out, she is almost as long as the mattress.  And note that she's lying width-wise in the in the above picture, and length-wise in the picture below.

It's amazing to think back to how tiny she was in her crib.
